In 2008, Fantech PTY has come to the end of an era in the retirement of Max Lane after many successful years at the helm of our Australian flagship. Max had led the Aussies forward with strength, vitality and determination growing stronger and stronger as each year passed. What is IAD? What does it mean? What does it represent?

From November 7th 2008, a brand new focused, unique and specific website will be launched by the Elta Group Limited. This new website entitled www.carparkventilation.com is designed to be easy to use and move within whilst at the same time providing a vast array of useful and meaningful information. However, to really know what IAD really means, a competition is available at the Big 5 Show in Dubai at the end of November 2008 to allow participants to guess the full meaning of IAD – be there, see you there and why not give it a try – an Apple iPod could be yours?

Maybe you think we are launching a new Irish Album? Maybe we have gone green already? In actual fact our Australian friends have recently found their product champion in a certain Mr. Daniel Tan. The high energy and hard – working business ethics of Daniel have resulted in his promotion within Fantech PTY in Melbourne to encompass our Australian activity in the car park ventilation market.

Why not catch up with Daniel at the Big 5 show in Dubai this year? He will be there on the Elta stand - come along and have a chat mate!

For a long, long time now we have been using computer modelling and simulations to examine how buildings are affected during various situations that change the environment within the building.
These models have been used in many ways from emergency escape provisions to ventilation control simulations.

More recently, with the advent of larger more complicated and complex building sizes, layouts and usages. Their car parking facilities are often placed below ground presenting different problems requiring different and better solutions.

The advent of ductless systems for car park ventilation under both normal and fire conditions has created business opportunities all over the world. Some approving authorities have insisted on the use of computer modelling (computational fluid dynamics – CFD) to verify the application of car park ventilation systems. BS 7346 Part 7:2006 however suggests that smaller, simpler car park ventilation systems could be verified by the use of simple calculations.

Elta Group have invested significant sums of money to investigate the application of 3D – animation in tandem with computational fluid dynamics to illustrate simply yet meaningfully how the car park ventilation system will sit within the basement car park levels indicating clearly it’s relationship with other component elements and systems within the basement level. Furthermore, it can provide clear and obvious results to show the effectiveness of the application proposed. Something which particularly in major, complex and complicated building designs would be invaluable to developers, design teams and designers. This is, we believe the next level up.

Our South African affiliate Air Movement Supplies SA is about to undergo a business changing review by local representatives of the B.S.I.
In South Africa. This will allow their manufacturing operations to provide equipment in accordance with the Elta product certification for our JetVent range of products – a significant event that will provide South Africa and associated countries dealt with by South Africa (within the South Africa Global Zone).

If you are reading this article against the myriad of other interesting articles on this website. You may be inclined to wonder why we chose the topic headline that we did. In fact, the choice to use the headline was a very easy one to make. The green light is a token to all Companies within the Elta Group to take on board the belief that we can achieve whatever we want by using strong innovation coupled together with a belief and determination to be the best in what we do. Following on from several very successful years in this active Global region. We quickly realised that that we would have to significantly increase our organisation and manufacturing facilities to meet the ever growing demands of the zone. In 2007, a new total facility was acquired increasing the total area of the previous site several times over. New machinery and staff was brought in and is now smoothly handling the increased manufacturing loads. Congratulations to the Managing Director of EltaFantech Asia Sdn Bhd, Mr. Peter Lester on a smooth transition and continued success.
